About
John has loved art and literature since childhood. He has explored a variety of styles, but his love of vibrant colors and experimentation shines through. And recently he discovered a knack for expressing his (somewhat goofy) sense of humor telling funny stories.
After graduating from Western Washington University in 1997, John had gallery shows and exhibitions. But he also wanted to explore the world, so he moved overseas and taught for several years.
John's travels enriched his perspective and added depth to his art. He is now happily married and working with his wife to create books and art that reflect their shared vision of friendship, love, and nature.
John's aspiration is to share his creative vision with the world and touch hearts and souls with art that celebrates the essence of life. He captures the magic of human connections, the warmth of love, and the awe-inspiring wonders of the natural world.
John is grateful for the opportunity to connect with others and create something meaningful together. He looks forward to sharing more creations and hearing stories and experiences that will inform and expand his artistic expression. His goal is to make the world a little brighter and more colorful with a shared passion for creativity and connection.
He creates his characters in collaboration with his wife, Yasuko during their daily long walks and she is an indispensable part of his creative life.
